The Adecco Group: Redefining Digital Success Through Strategic SEO
TAG, a leading global brand in the staffing sector, hiered us to elevate their digital presence. Facing fierce competition and needing to strengthen their online footprint, TAG sought a comprehensive SEO strategy that would improve search rankings, increase organic traffic, and enhance their brand’s visibility.
Client Background
The Adecco Group is a well-established entity in the staffing industry, helping people find their dream work. With a global client base and a reputation for excellence, working on all continents of the world, TAG needed their digital presence to reflect their market leadership and attract new clients from various sectors.
SEO case study: The Adecco Group
We have supported this client for about two and a half years, during which period the SEO strategy was created, the regular SEO reports and recommendations were created for the company, and three more clients were inside the group.
The regular monthly web audits were created and delivered to the stakeholders, holding regular meetings and discussing the strategy, achievements, blockers, and the next steps for the following period. Also, together with the reports for stakeholders, we were preparing very detailed technical documentation for the developers and content teams, instructing them on the pain points with the website, and helping them solve as many issues as they could, but the results and the pace of improvements were mainly depending on their internal capacities.
In March 2023, Google rolled even two Core Updates in a row, which affected the website visibility and traffic for the client's website. This required urgent action because the client lost roughly half of the traffic in the period after those updates were rolled out.
Acting proactively, the real reasons were found behind this traffic drop, and characteristics of the Google update were researched in more detail, after which an additional deep web audit, pointed to the problems with the website that caused this drop, and the issues were prioritized in 3 different groups of priorities to be solved.
The first, and most critical issues, which were not solved for a longer time were pushed to a Dev team, instructing them to solve the issues with hreflang tags, broken internal links, invalid structured data, 404 pages, and a few smaller issues in the area of the technical quality of the website. At this stage, the priority was put on the technical aspects of the website.
The second planned step in this strategy was to improve the less important factors and concentrate more on the content side of the website, but already next month, during the preparation of the new web audit, we have noticed a positive trend with the client website ranking positions, visibility and the traffic on the website.
During the next regular meeting with the client, to discuss the next steps in the strategy, I was happy to inform the client that domain authority has grown for two points, loss of clicks to the website has stopped and recovered, and even grown for an additional 100%. The bounce rate to the website has fallen for 14%, and CTR has grown for almost 1%. All of this in one month, as a result of several technical improvements to the website.
As result, the traffic from organic traffic channel has improved for about 50% in the same period of time, annulating the loss after the Google update, and even growing to a numbers prior the update.
